Introduction

This support-level course introduces Microsoft® Windows® Terminal Server version 4.0 to network support professionals and provides them with the knowledge, skills, and experience to plan, implement, and support the product.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Recognize the major capabilities of Microsoft Windows Terminal Server, identify different uses for its primary features and functions, and use a client to run applications in a Terminal Server environment.
  • Install and configure Terminal Server.
  • Configure and manage Microsoft Windows NT® operating system user accounts to use Terminal Server features.
  • Install and configure Terminal Server clients.
  • Use Terminal Server utilities to administer the environment.
  • Install and configure a variety of 16-bit and 32-bit applications.
  • Implement Zero Administration Windows on Terminal Server.
  • Access resources from a Terminal Server session.
  • Install and configure the pICAsso Extensions to Terminal Server.
  • Install and configure a pICAsso client.
