This course presents the features of elementary DCL usage and features basic skills that a novice needs to know to become a functioning user on an OpenVMS system, including:
- Logging in and out of an OpenVMS system
- Setting up terminal characteristics
- Issuing DCL commands
- Creating and editing text files
- Sending messages to other system users
- Writing a simple command procedure
